This party, organized by Good Crowd Events, supports Suburban Legend, the local production company responsible for Maplewood’s annual family-friendly British Pantomime that raises money for Bridges and St. Hubert’s. They also partner with other companies to produce improvisation and other non-traditional theater, and provide opportunities for people of all ages to participate in live theater either on or behind the stage. Announcement: Open Auditions 9/8 & 9/9 2019 – for En Garde!

Suburban Legend is delighted to announce OPEN CALL AUDITIONS for “En Garde! The Panto Adventures of The Three Musketeers”! A British-style Pantomime very loosely based on the novel by Alexandre Dumas.
Dates: SUN SEPT. 8th, 1-3PM | MON SPT. 9th 7-9PM
Location: Burgdorff Cultural Center (Theater), 10 Durand Road, Maplewood NJ 07040
We are looking for adults and kids 11 and older to join us on our annual quest for a silly theatrical experience!
Must love terrible jokes and silliness, sides for reading will be provided.
Rehearsals will begin mid October, performances will be January 4 | 10-12 | 17-19 2020.

Time to let the cat out of the bag! Suburban Legend is proud to announce that our 8th Annual Pantomime will open in January 2020. Very loosely based on the characters of Alexandre Dumas’ classic swashbuckling novel, get ready for:

EN GARDE! The Pantomime Adventures of The Four Musketeers

What’s the plot? We don’t know yet! But we do know that it will be written by our Panto Champions here at Suburban Legend, and that D’Artagnan, Porthos, Athos and Aramis will be facing off against their arch enemies – Milady DeWinter, the Count de Rochefort and Cardinal Richelieu – in an action-packed crazy adventure full of fencing puns, songs, dancing and outrageously terrible French accents! We are extremely excited to bring you this new pantomime adaptation and we want you to get involved.
